Village Walks

Village Walks

One of Cuxton’s strengths is the incredible countryside within our boundaries, so much of which can be explored on foot, including the Ranscombe Farm Nature reserve to the north and ancient woodlands to the south-west.

Medway Health Walks Programme

We are very fortunate to have a well-established and popular, Grade 5 Hiking Group operating in Cuxton.

Meeting at Cuxton Library, ME2 1EY,  on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 10:15am . Departing at 10.30am

Walks last between 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes and explore routes through Ranscombe Nature Reserve and woodlands in the local area.

There is no charge for the walks, but a small contribution towards tea, coffee and biscuits is requested.

No age restrictions apply, but participants have to be fairly sure-footed as there are plenty of rough and uphill tracks, meaning that Cuxton is considered one of the more challenging walks in the scheme.

To join a health walk call us on 01634 333 720 or email walking@medway.gov.uk or just meet at the Library at 10.15 on the 1st or 3rd  Tuesday of the month.

A warm welcome awaits anyone who would like to join.
